  • Do I need to be home when Xtreme Bin Cleaners cleans and sanitizes my trash and recycling bins?
No. Homeowners do not need to be home during our cleaning service. The homeowner is responsible for bringing their trash and/or recycling bins to the curb on their scheduled cleaning day.
  • Why do trash and recycle bins need to be cleaned?
Trash and recycle bins require cleaning to help reduce unpleasant smells, deter pests, and contribute to better health. Xtreme bin cleaners uses an eco-friendly system that helps clean, sanitize, and disinfect your bins using pressurized water greater than 200oF. We remove dirt and grime, eliminate odors, and kill germs and bacteria within a few minutes at your curbside. We then deodorize the bins, leaving them with a fresh scent. We leave no mess by capturing the dirty water left from cleaning the bins and dispose of the wastewater properly. Using our high heat we rid your bins with 99.9% of bacteria, germs, and viruses. Additionally, we spray the outside of your bin, including the parts most often touched such as the lid and the handle.
  • How does weather affect my bin cleaning service?
Xtreme Bin Cleaners does not perform bin cleaning services when the temperature is below 32 degrees. If your appointment gets interrupted due to weather, you will be notified and given the option to reschedule or cancel your cleaning. Due to our Wisconsin climate, we perform cleaning services from March to November.

  • What if my HOA will not allow my cans out past a certain time on trash collection day?
There are two possible solutions to this problem: Leave your cans by the garage, the side of the house, or anywhere we can easily access them with your permission. We will return them to that same spot when we finish our work. Please give us the contact information to the HOA Board and/or Manager, and we will discuss the situation with them to see if we might be able to come up with a solution that can make allowance for a possible exception during a Xtreme Bin Cleaners service day.

  • Am I locked into a contract?
If you sign up for seasonal, bi-monthly, or monthly, we ask that you stay with us for at least 3 cleanings.
  • Where should I place my bins?
Please leave your bins curbside after your trash and recycling has been collected and we will take care of the rest.
  • If I miss my service date because of my mistake, will you reschedule my service day?
Our industry operates in the same manner as our trash collection peers in that it is the client’s responsibility to have their bin(s) empty and curbside on service days. If you miss a day we’ll take care of it on the next cleaning day. If you plan to be out of town and your bins will not be out for us to clean on the set date, please notify us by 5 p.m. the day prior to your scheduled service.
